Wonder Egg Priority

Following the suicide of her best and only friend, Koito Nagase, Ai Ooto is left grappling with her new reality. With nothing left to live for, she follows the instructions of a mysterious entity and gets roped into purchasing an egg, or specifically, a Wonder Egg.

Upon breaking the egg in a world that materializes during her sleep, Ai is tasked with saving people from the adversities that come their way. In doing so, she believes that she has moved one step closer to saving her best friend. With this dangerous yet tempting opportunity in the palms of her hands, Ai enters a place where she must recognize the relationship between other people's demons and her own.

As past trauma, unforgettable regrets, and innate fears hatch in the bizarre world of Wonder Egg Priority, a young girl discovers the different inner struggles tormenting humankind and rescues them from their worst fears.

100% one of my favorite anime’s ever. The way the show manages to fit so much into so little time is astounding. I definitely feel as though it was intended to be longer but I believe that with the time they did have they really made the most of it. This show is such an anomaly amongst anime, the all teen girl [non sexualized!!] main character cast, and especially the heavy real life subjects being handled as well as they did, really made this something super special. I absolutely adore this show. The plot is kind of everywhere at times, especially towards the end, but ... it never really bothered me. All the main characters in the show all have such unique personalities it’s impossible not to love all of them. And even despite how cool and lovable the girls are they all have a flaw of some kind that really rounds them out making them such perfect character archetypes. One of the biggest things for me is how theres absolutely no fan service in this whole show. It’s not prevalent for even a moment and I just adore that on a whole other level. Not only does it just make the show feel more serious, since the girls are actually dressed like normal teenagers and not monster fighting in clothes that don’t fit, but it also just makes the show a-lot more wholesome, I guess is the word im looking for? Its not a kids show by any standard, the topics are dark and serious, but they don’t take advantage of this fact by adding unnecessary inappropriate scenes. I 100% recommend this anime to everyone no matter who you are, its such a short-not-always-sweet masterpiece.

Mixed Feelings

Realmente no se a lo que quisieron llegar, la idea es buenísima, y como lo llevaron hasta la mitad de la serie estaba bien, pero luego que? que trataron de hacer? entiendo que hayan querido hacer un cambio para que no luzca tan monótono y tan episódico, pero lo revolvieron todo, no supieron explicar realmente las relaciones y emociones de las chicas quisieron abarcarlo todo en unos cuantos capítulos y lo único que lograron es hacer todo inentendible, con mas capítulos creo que si hubiera funcionado.
En cuanto a lo técnico, animación, banda sonora, imagen, nada que decir, todo muy bien hecho.

I have never been so disappointed to an anime until after I finished this one. First few episodes were great. Succeeding ones until episode 10 was okay. Episode 11 is peak, episode 12 is just utter trash. I hate to say it and leave a review like this but I felt so bad that I can't take back those 4 hours spent watching this anime.

At first, Ai has a goal, which is to find out why Koito died. Great, we have something to look forward to. She stopped going to school but still got new friends. Great, it was a fun ride with all ... of them. Episode 11 dropped, holy molly it was peak. Then I expected episode 12 to explain everything that's been unanswered so far but what did I get? I got smacked by anything the authors want even though it doesn't make sense. It felt like hundreds of dots in the sky which don't connect to create a constellation at the very least. It's just whatever, plot holes everywhere, ALMOST EVERYTHING was left hanging.

It's just a bad experience for me as I have had very high expectations from this show. Sorry for the rant but there's a 50% chance that you'd feel the same as I after you watch this show.
