me, i've just been investing most of my attention into the lord of the mysteries novel, i haven't even finished it and i already love it. decided to read it before trying out the anime adaptation for it. the worldbuilding and lore in it rivals, or is maybe even better than one piece's and that's saying something coming from me xD

it didnt have to be jjk level production even just ordinary sakuga would be fine just not Tms ( especially because sakamoto days has such a reputation in japan and is jumps second best selling manga in jump right now you'd think they could do better than to get the known fumblers on the animation team, but I digress ).. its able IMO but watching it next to solo leveling just upsets me. the animation itself really is not up to par, however at the very least they have been faithful on designs for the most part and whoever is doing the music was able to keep a somewhat consistent atmosphere. the plot of the first 2 eps felt very condensed which is fairly standard in a lot of adaptations but I think it is particularly noticeable in episode 2. I could go on for hours about just how disappointed I am about this adaptation and about the main charm and appeal of sakamoto days being completely lost. but at this point I have lost any hope unless we see a change of studios or tms is saving budget for episode 12. 7/10 from me. very lackluster work for an amazing source material

okay so, Hanako was legit just the same as s1 although I cant see why they took so long and did the whole change in producer.although from the beginning its never been like an all action kind of show but as an adaptation they quite faithful to the art style this is just the natural progression from s1 nothing more nothing less.

thoughts on sakamoto anime?
