Both the protagonists just do the most stupid things and somehow win. Both of the protagonists are so physically overpowered that they can bend reality to their own liking.
A world where people have powers, the MC gets incredibly fit. The comedy is also on point as well.

Both are action series with a heavy comedy focus about an overpowered guy, who trained way too much to gain supreme physical strength, but has to hide this fact from the other warriors around him. One Punch Man obviously is about superheroes and has far better animation, while Mashle is about a magical school very heavily inspired by Harry Potter.
Both anime are centered around an extremely overpowered MC with an apathetic attitude. They also some similar senses of humor.

A super strong physically buffed MC who uses raw power to win. The humor aspect is amazing and well written in both. Each episode is packed with action, intensity and humor just like OPM S1. Doesn't waste audience time with unnecessary details or unwanted flashbacks or slow dialogues/monologues. Mashle is basically a nerfed Saitama in a magic world setting.

When i used to read the manga of mashle, I always thought of the mc as what saitama would have been if he was fused with magic and stuff and also found lot of similarities between them.
