If you enjoyed the first seasons of Digimon, Pokémon, or Yo-kai Watch—back when those shows were still emotionally rich and a little more mature—then The All-Devouring Whale is right up your alley.
Why? Because those early seasons often carried deeper themes, character development, and worldbuilding. Sadly, many monster franchises become stale or formulaic over time, often continuing just to push merchandise (though not always). In contrast, The All-Devouring Whale delivers strong characters, striking animation, a gripping plot, and a genuinely fresh take on the spirit-beast genre.
